The department has a Fire Protection Classification Rating of 3. This is a prestigious rating shared by a small percentage of fire departments nationwide; and is a tool used by insurance companies to set fire insurance rates for business, industrial and residential occupancies within the City of Morristown . Protection ratings are issued by the Insurance Service Office and range from 1-10. A rating of 1 is best and 10 is the least desirable.
We provide fire protection, code enforcement and emergency medical response to the 25,000 residents of our community.
